Tuesday, 6 November 2007 @ 1:59 pm Tell Your Wish, NaNoWriMo, Rounded Borders Hello to ye people of little faith - if everyone keeps buying you chocolate because they've got no idea what to get you for Christmas, and you're actually dieting, or you're a dad and everyone gets you car-cleaning manuals without realising that there's a drought, then this Tell Your Wish feature of the Starlight Foundation is probably something you'll find useful. Even if they say this to you: Person: Eh...what did you just send me? Just say: You: It's for charity. They can't argue. Person: Okay. Okay. Okay. Charity. I see. So anyway, the Starlight Foundation grant wishes to kids. Read more about them here. Aussies, make a difference. It may sound cheesy. But hell, it's for Christmas. Christmas is cheesy. Heeee. Love you for it if you do. Onto something more universal; NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month. I'm PHAILING but it's kind of fun. I have 2 mentors, Nimue and Bea, and they're rad. Except I'm still PHAILING. Oh well. We get together in November [my birthday, people, I tell you, MY BIRTHDAY!] and we write a 50k+ novel! Each. In one month. With our other commitments. Why am I doing this? Because I have no life? Nah. Because I'm bored. Ja. Really bored. And I procrastinate. *stares at history oral and other undone homework assignments* Ja, well, that's that. Lastly, rounded edges/borders for pictures on PhotoShop? Breezy. Unfortunately, it freezes every time I try to load it. Annoying, right? So I resort to Gimp, and dear Gimp, you are my lover, but you are so indeedly frustrating. I looked for a tutorial. I found a tutorial! *cheers* But I still don't really get it. Oh well. It's life.
